Frost School Honors Veterans at 2024 Veterans Day Program

This year’s Veterans Day program on November 11, 2024, was an amazing success. To start off the program, principal Stacey Wise gave us a welcoming speech, and Brantley Martin said the opening word of prayer. Soon after, “Pledge of Allegiance” was sung by our Pre-k students.  The veterans then introduced themselves and shared where they served and how long they served. Mrs. Stacey Wise then proceeded to recognize the youngest and oldest veteran in attendance and gave a gift to them to show our gratitude towards them. Our second grade students then performed “Ringing of the Bells,” and the fourth graders sang “You’re a Grand Old Flag”. To show how grateful we are for our veterans, Gunnar Fletcher and Bradley Baker each read an acrostic poem showcasing things our veterans had to go through just for our protection. Detective Jason Blaney of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office then gave an oration telling our veterans how appreciative we are for their sacrifice to our country. The whole school then sang “God Bless the USA,” and Mrs. Wise closed out our Veteran’s Day program with a closing speech. As a school, we would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Randy Rushing, Dalton Naquin, and the church of Unity Prayer Center for cooking food for the veterans. We would also like to give thanks to the Jr. High Beta Club for helping with the luncheon for the veterans. Mrs. Martha Mack was a huge part in this year's program. She let us borrow many things from her church so that we can make this day happen. This year's program was an astonishing achievement, and everyone showed their USA spirit by wearing a red, white, and blue shirt.
